Dr Ben Stegman

The Gentle Doctor

I was privileged to grow up on a small farm in North eastern ND and have loved animals my entire life. I got a youthful start as a healer doctoring our family chickens, goats, dogs, cats, cows, and horses. While I've come to appreciate the benefit of a scientific approach to health and wellness, I've also always had a keep appreciation for the amazing intelligence God has built into His creation for healing and restoration. Natural and non-drug based treatments have always fascinated me and I've spent a good chunk of my career expanding my knowledge and skills in this area. Besides my conventional medical training, I am experienced with western herbalism, design appropriate nutrition, comparative osteopathy and neuromodulatory therapies including acupuncture and photobiomodulation.

I’ve been a Licensed Veterinarian since  2007 (DVM- ISU) and a certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist since 2012 (cVMA CSU/Curacore).

My treatments are specifically tailored to the needs of each patient to make sure they receive the approach that works best for them. I believe in a gentle harmony of conventional and alternative treatments that respects and augments the incredible ability animals have to adapt and heal.

I live on a small farm in south eastern ND with my wife Heather and our five children where we love investigating new things as we work to glorify our Creator in everything we do. Among other things, we enjoy caring for our Dexter cows, making cheese, tending our gardens, playing games, reading good books, keeping bees, and making music.
